I absolutely love shrimp… and bacon.. and ALFREDO sauce! When you combine these three ingredients you have Heaven in your mouth! I love Italian dishes. It’s so savory and filling to put you in the best food coma ever! My husband is half Italian so I was very excited to make this dish for him and he loved it!! It is easy to make and so delicious you will want seconds like he did!
I love linguine pasta with Alfredo but penne and angel hair is also great to use with this creamy cheesy sauce. I plan on making this dish a few times a month because it has become one of our favorites!
You will need:
- 1 lb of shrimp
- linguine pasta
- 1 pint of heavy whipping cream
- Italian season
- salt and pepper to taste (not pictured)
- pack of parmesan shredded cheese
Start boiling your pasta. I used almost the entire box so that I could have leftovers!
Add olive oil to a pan. Let it heat and then add your shrimp and Italian seasoning. Cook until pink then remove from skillet. After you have removed your shrimp from skillet add your bacon slices and let cook.
I only fried 5 slices of bacon and then chopped up and sat to the side.
Dice your garlic and drain some of the grease from the skillet and add your garlic to sauté.
After your garlic has sautéed I added about 2 table spoons of butter. Then add your heavy whipping cream. Bring to a low bubbly boil and add your parmesan cheese with salt and pepper to taste. Put on a low simmer so your cheese melts and sauce slowly bubbles and thickens.
After pasta is cooked “al dente” drain and return to pot. Add your alfredo sauce, shrimp and bacon to the pot and gently toss together. Serve hot and dig in! So delicious!
