Do you know what tomorrow is? Tomorrow, April 22nd is EARTH DAY! This is a great day to teach our little ones the importance of the environment, our community and the world we live in. A great fun way we celebrate Earth Day is enjoying nature outdoors by participating in a fun scavenger hunt! The boys love searching for the items and marking it off their lists. It is a fun team activity that they can do together and take turns finding the items! We talk about each item and also I tell them about the Earth, and how it is important to take care of the planet we live on and keeping it beautiful.
I tell them about how people recycle and how they recycled items are turned into something new! Also how we pick up trash outdoors, plant trees and flowers, and reduce pollution.
You can print off your very own scavenger hunt to celebrate Earth Day with your little ones HERE!
These are my two middles about to start the hunt! Boston on the left (age 5) and Weston (age 3). Can’t you see the excitement!!
I hope the weather is beautiful as you celebrate this special day tomorrow with your little ones. What ways do you celebrate Earth Day with your family? How do you teach the importance of keeping our plant clean to your children?
