It’s almost fall and with fall comes pumpkin EVERYTHING! This week on the blog is PUMPKIN WEEK!!
I love fall time and the flavor of pumpkin spice as well. My family LOVES donuts so it was so much fun making donuts with my three year old Weston. He had a very fun time making them – and also devouring one of them! I will definitely be making this simple and easy recipe a few times this fall season.
You should have everything you need to make these donuts in your very own kitchen! Just need a donut pan and a can of Libby’s Pumpkin! This recipe will make 15 donuts. Let’s get started!
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Grease your donut pans as well and set to the side.
- 1 cup of Libby’s Pumpkin
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- dash of salt
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 3/4 cup of sifted flour
- 3 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
- 1/2 cup of sugar
Combine your flour and salt into a small bowl. In another bowl combine all other ingredients and then add flour mixture and mix until smooth.
You will fill your donut pan half full so that they don’t overflow. If they do you can always cut the excess around the donut but you shouldn’t need to. You want to cook these until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. May take about 12 minutes.
When donuts have been removed from oven I let them sit a minute or two before coating in my cinnamon sugar mixture. These taste amazing! You will love them – especially when they are warm! I hope you enjoy them as much as my family and I did! Perfect fall treats!!
