Today is the day! It’s Spring Break for my two oldest boys – Brayden (4th grade) and Boston (Kindergarten). To tell you the truth this week makes me anxious and kind of overwhelmed because that means I am home with all five of them. Ahhh!! It can be great and sometimes bad when they bicker, argue, whine, cry, or fight over the silliest things or they are just bored.
So I thought of some fun things to do with them this week for fun indoors and also to get them out the house on good weather days because wouldn’t you know… we have snow forecasted this week! Shocker right?!
So today Monday we are going to do some fun crafts and baking cookies! The boys are super excited for Easter coming so I figured we could do a fun Easter craft while we watched the Easter movie HOP with some popcorn!
Tuesday is forecasted as decent weather so we will go outside for bubbles in the backyard and then a walk to the playground at their school down the street for some fresh air, burn off some energy and then one of my favorite times of day – nap time!
Wednesday we will be heading downtown to the Omaha Children’s Museum! The kids absolutely love this place! There is a huge ball play area, water stations, a themed upstairs play area and even a train to take a ride in and a carousel!
Thursday is to be a chilly day with rain/snow mixture forecasted so we will enjoy that day with some crockpot hot cocoa, movies in the family room and snuggles with this mama!!
And lastly Friday is make your own pizza night and board games! The kids LOVE the games Jenga, Sorry and Trouble so it will be a fun day for sure!
With the hubby at work and all the kids at home this week I definitely like to plan ahead as best I can to not only make this week fun for them but also to keep them busy, entertained and happy. I also want to keep my sanity. Happy Spring!!!
Have you had your Spring break yet? If so what did you do?
