I can finally say the warm weather is here and it feels amazing! My boys are especially happy!! We can play outside more now, go on fun adventures and of course cook outside on the grill!
One of my favorite things to make on grill are thick, juicy turkey burgers and the family loves it too! These burgers are easy to make and taste delicious so you’ll want to gather the ingredients for your upcoming grill out. One main ingredient to a turkey burger is olive oil. It is a healthy oil to use on turkey which is a healthy lean meat. This is a key element to not letting your turkey burger patties dry out.
What you need:
• pound of ground turkey for four patties
•3 teaspoons salt
• 2 teaspoons of garlic powder
•1 teaspoon pepper
•3 teaspoons rosemary
•3 teaspoons thyme
•3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce mixed with 2 table spoons olive oil in a bowl set aside
•burger toppings – cheese, onion, tomato, mayo, lettuce, etc.
First mix your ground turkey and seasonings in a bowl.
Then form your patties to about 1/2 an inch in thickness.
Preheat your grill or a griddle pan to medium – high heat. You want to use a non stick cooking spray for these burgers as well.
Before placing on grill brush one side of your burgers with the olive oil Worcestershire mixture. Place that side down on grill and then brush the other side while cooking.
Your burger patties will be cooked through when it hits an internal temp of 165 degrees. Let the burgers rest for just a few minutes prior to placing on buns.
Finally – ENJOY!! These burgers are tasty, juicy and I hope you love them!
